Frequently Asked Questions

CapBay initially processes the guarantee. If it is not fulfilled within 90 days, a designated Guarantee Company will step in to settle the claim without further assessment.

If an issuer defaults, the Guarantee Company purchases the affected investment note from investors and assumes the right to recover the outstanding amount. This mechanism enhances investor security and mitigates risks.

No, investments cannot be withdrawn before maturity, as they are tied to specific financing arrangements. However, most investment notes have short tenures (3–6 months), allowing for quicker capital turnover. Repayments follow a scheduled timeline and may include periodic principal and interest payments.

No, delays do not directly impact investors. If an issuer delays payment, they may incur late fees, and our collections team will take action. In cases of prolonged delays or defaults, legal enforcement and the Guarantee Company help ensure investor protection.

While CapBay Assure Notes are backed by a designated Reserve Fund, there is still a risk that multiple defaults within a short period could deplete the fund. In such cases, you may receive less than your initial investment. However, CapBay will take the necessary recovery measures to return the principal and interest to investors. Additionally, the issuance of new CapBay Assure Notes will be suspended until the Reserve Fund’s coverage ratio is restored. To date, the Reserve Fund has not been utilized, as there have been no defaults.
